Kings-XI Khari wins cricket tourney title

RAMBAN, Sept 19: Kings XI, Khari crushed Star Guys Harniyal by 18 runs and won the title trophy of the Cricket Tournament, organized by Army, here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Kings-XI Khari scored 120 runs in 19 overs for the loss of all wickets. Chasing the score, Star Guys, Harniyal bundled out at 102 runs in 17 overs.
On the valedictory function, Tabez Salim, Tehsildar, Khari was the chief guest, who awarded the winner and runner-up teams. The winner team received a cash prize of Rs 16,000 alongwith trophy and the runner-up team was given a cash prize of Rs 11,000. Sakir Ahmed of Star Guys, Harniyal was adjudged as Man of the Series and Nisar Ahamed as Man of the Match.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the tournament has been a huge success in terms of unearthing the talent of youths from remote areas.
Among others present were Gulam Kadir, Sarpanch, Khari, Fayaz Ahmed, Youth leader, Ramban District and Parvez Ahmed, SHO Khari.
