Kishtwar Campus of JU organizes literary meet

JAMMU, Sept 5: The PG Department of Kashmiri, Kishtwar Campus, University of Jammu (JU) today organised yet another literary meet in the campus premises.
The meet was attended by students, faculty members and the respectable citizens. The guest of honour on the occasion was Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, Director Kishtwar Campus. The literary meet was presided over by Shagufta (Teacher, Kashmiri Department) while Mona Sahi (Teacher, IT Department) was the chief guest.
The presidium was also shared by Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, Incharge, Department of Kashmiri.
At the very outset of the meet, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar in his welcome address threw light on the importance of literary meets for budding writers and poets.
During the meet, Gh Mohi-u-Din Dar presented a detailed critical paper on the history of the Lal Ded while Nazneen Gulshan presented research paper on the Kashmiri King, Budshah.
While speaking on the occasion, Professor Malik in detail threw light on Kashmiri language in the Chenab Valley and highlighted the importance of the mother tongue in the development of the personality of a person.
