KISHTWAR, Apr 23: The prominent citizens and representatives of social and political organizations today assembled here at Dak Bungalow and framed ‘Kishtwar Coordination Comm-ittee’.
The purpose of framing Kishtwar Coordination Commit-tee is to make pressure on the State and Central Governments regarding early clearing of National Highway due to continuous landslides at Kuligadh Drabshalla in which so far five persons had died and several others got injured in last more than one month.
The speakers alleged that land slide at Kuligadh is continue running for the last 45 days due to which the passengers are suffering badly. He said that there is unrest among the people of district Kishtwar due to this constant land slide but the contractor engaged in clearing this stretch of National Highway has failed to do so, as he has no such machinery to clear land slide hit NH at Kuligadh.
The meeting decided to stage one day dharna in front of old Deputy Commissioner’s office at Kishtwar on April 28 at 11:00 sharp to highlight the issue.
