Kishtwar trounces Kathua by solitary goal

SRINAGAR, Aug 9: Krishna Thangli’s solitary goal helped Kishtwar to outplay Kathua in the ongoing State Level Inter-District Under-17 Boys Football Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at various venues, here.
In another match, Anantnag blanked Samba by a huge margin of 11 goals (11-0) to advance in the tournament. Ahana Manzoor was the star performer and scored 5 splendid goals, while Sartaj and Adnan netted 2 goals each.
Earlier, Budgam drubbed Bandipora by four goals to nil (4-0) in a one-sided contest, while Srinagar thrashed Kupwara again by four goals to nil (4-0).
In other two matches played today, Baramulla outclassed Rajouri by two goals to nil (2-0), while the match between Udhampur and Doda ended in a 1-1 draw.
