JAMMU, Nov 29: J&K Kissan Council has demanded amendment in Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Policy in which the minimum qualification for the employment of youth has been kept 12th in agri and allied sectors.
In a statement issued here today, the president of Council Tejinder Singh said that the majority of unemployed youth in rural areas is matriculate and the same is evident from Government records also. He while welcoming the initiative taken by Chief Minister by instrumenting the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Policy and holding interaction with budding entrepreneurs in this regard said that it will be fittest in the interest of unemployed youth of the State if the basic qualification for the employment under it will be made matriculate.
He said the matriculate unemployed youth in rural areas visit cities for jobs where they after not getting the job fall in the hands of bad elements.
He said Chief Minister has always given stress on Agri and allied sectors and hence the basic qualification be made matriculate.
