SAMBA, Oct 30: Kehli Mandi Football Club (KMFC) lifted the Police Martyrs Memorial Football title by defeating Sangwali Mandi FC at Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of SSP Dr Abhishek Mahajan.
Both the teams played with great enthusiasm in which the team of Kehli Mandi Football Club emerged as winner and clinched the “Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament” by winning the match by 2-1 goals. All the matches were played in a highly professional manner under the supervision of trained sportspersons.
Later prize distribution function was held in which both the winner and runner-up teams were awarded with trophies.
SSP Dr Abhishek Mahajan said that the aim of organising such sports events is to inculcate the value of sportsmanship amongst the youth and for promoting sports activities in the district.
