JAMMU, Sept 13: MV International School organized two days “Korean Cultural Exchange Program” in School, which concluded today.
Kim Kum-Pyoung, Director Korean Cultural Center, New Delhi was the chief guest for the mega event. He was accompanied by his wife Chun Hye Jin; Cultural PD Jaetak So and three artists Imran Khan; Sandeep and Somali Rawat.
The artist presented mesmerizing Korean Fairy Tales in front of the students. Korean Cultural Videos, Taekwondo & Gymnastics demonstration; guest lecturers; inauguration of Korean Book Shelf in School Library; songs & fusion of India – Korean dances as well as dances of J&K were some of the colourful presentations during the Cultural extravaganza.
Director, Korean Cultural Center (KCC) spoke on the vision of Republic of South Korea and similarities in the cultures of India and Korea. He ssaid that Indian games like Gulli Danda; Geetay and Pushampa are also played in South Korea. He also threw light on similarities between Tamil & Korean languages; cultures & architectures of the two countries.
Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman, MVIS; Savita Abrol, Vice Chairperson; Gourav Abrol & Aakriti Abrol, Directors of MVIS and KL Dogra, Principal of the school were present during the program.
Gourav Abrol presented the vote of thanks and discussed future plans of the school.
