Kotli Patta Panchayat lifts double title in kabaddi

JAMMU, June 7: Defeating Dhanu in boys and Kawa Panchayat in girls section in the summit clashes, Kotli Patta Panchayat lifted the Under-16 boys and girls kabaddi titles in the Block Level Inter-Panchayat Tournament in the disciplines of kabaddi and kho-kho, under the age group of 16 years boys and girls at Government Higher Secondary School, Garhi, here.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the auspices of Panchayat Yuva Krida aur Khel Abhiyan and under the over all supervision of Champa Devi, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Udhampur.
Binam Tosh, Additional SP Udhampur, was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, while Principal HSS Garhi was the guest of honour. They distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Earlier, in kho-kho Under-16 girls, Malhar Panchayat drubbed Chack Panchayat in the final to win the trophy, while the kho-kho Under-16 boys title again went to Kotli Patta Panchayat, which defeated Malhar in the title clash.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sukhdev Singh, Sunil Badyal, Balwant Singh, Raj Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Bandana, Manorama, Poonam, Kanchan Sharma, Ravi Singh, Bhim Sen, Udhay Veer Singh and Ramesh Bhat.
