JAMMU, Feb 24: Kupwara Knight Riders, Hustlers Cricket Club and Ace Cricket Club registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-4, being organized by Lalitaditya Sports, Education and Health Organisation (LSEHO) at KC Sports Club here.
Earlier, In the first match, Hustlers Cricket Club thrashed Moon Strikers XI in an easy contest by a big margin of 75 runs.
Batting first, Hustlers Cricket Club scored a good total of 169 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets.
Shubham Hangloo top scored with unbeaten 78 runs off 56 balls, studded with 3 fours and 6 sixes, while Rohan Koul contributed brisk 46 runs off 26 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.
Deepak took 2 wickets by conceding 34 runs in his 3 overs for Moon Strikers XI.
In reply, Moon Strikers XI bundled out for 94 runs in 18.5 overs, thus lost the match by 75 runs.
Bobby Pandita was the only batter to show application, scoring 23 runs off 19 balls with 4 fours.
Sunny Mattoo took 3 wickets for the Hustlers Club, while Rohan Koul bagged 2 wickets.
For his all-round display, Rohan Koul was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Kupwara Knight Riders defeated Spartans XI in a close contest by 17 runs.
Batting first, Kupwara Knight Riders scored 176 runs in 20 overs, while in reply, Spartans XI scored 151 runs to lose the match by a narrow margin of 17 runs.
Ashish Bhat of Kupwara Knight Riders was adjudged man of the match for capturing 5 wickets.
In yet another match, Ace Cricket Club defeated BNCC by 25 runs.
Batting first, Ace Cricket Club scored 176 runs.
Akshay Koul and Sidharth Bhat scored 35 runs each, while Rohit Koul contributed 26 runs.
Bhumesh Bhat took 2 wickets for BNCC.
In reply, BNCC managed to score 151 runs to lose the match by 25 runs.
Sagar Pandita top scored with 49 runs while Bhumesh Bhat and Sunil Pandita contributed 29 and 20 runs respectively.
Somil Raina, Suraj Koul and Hemant Raina bagged 2 wickets each while Akshay Koul and Rohit Koul claimed one wicket each.
Akshay Koul was declared as the man of the match.
