SRINAGAR, June 1: Kashmir Premier League-Baramulla, organised by Army under the aegis of 46 Rashtriya Rifles (Sikh) was inaugurated at Jhelum Stadium by Col Prateek Sharma, CO 46 RR Bn and Sheikh Mustaq, former Sports Manager Baramulla, here today.
On the opening day, two each match were played at Jhelum Stadium and Shaukat Ali Stadium, wherein LA Gymkhana trounced Escort Eagle by 6 runs, while Baramulla Victorians defeated Kanpur Phaktoons by 10 wickets at Jhelum Stadium, besides Shahi Hamdan Kanispora beat KCC Delina by 8 wickets and Victoria Baramulla trounced FMCC Baramulla by 10 wickets at Shaukat Ali Stadium.
The tournament is aimed to nurture the potential of hidden talents in cricket and provide a platform to the youth of India to showcase their talent and elevate India’s reputation in the field globally. The tournament will culminate on August 8.
