KPPL Edition-4: Ace Cricket Club to take on Dream XI in final

JAMMU, Feb 28: Scripting convincing victories over their rivals in their respective semifinal clashes today, formidable Ace Cricket Club and strong Dream XI have sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash of the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-4 at KC Sports Club here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Ace Cricket Club defeated Tridents Cricket Club in an easy contest by 8 wickets.
Winning the toss and batting first, Tridents Cricket Club scored a fighting total of 144 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
Sushant Ganjoo top scored with 70 runs off 48 balls, studded with 6 fours and 3 sixes, while Vicky contributed 33 runs off 28 balls with 4 fours and one six.
Akshay Kaul was the pick of the bowlers for Ace Cricket Club, who took 4 wickets by conceding 29 runs in his 4 overs, while Rohit Koul and Hemant Raina claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Ace Cricket Club chased the target in 18.4 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets.
For his all-round display, Akshay Kaul was adjudged as the man of the match.
In the second semifinal, Dream XI outplayed formidable Hustlers Cricket Club by 6 wickets in an easy contest to enter the finals.
Batting first, Hustlers Cricket Club scored 139 in 19 overs.
Rohan Koul was the top scorer with 26 runs off 18 balls, studded with 3 fours and one six, while Shrawan (22), Sonu Zutshi (18) and Shubham Hangloo (17) were the other contributors.
In reply Dream XI, chased the target in 17.4 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets.
Ishaan Dhar top scored with 37 runs off 32 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes , while Rounak contributed valuable 35 runs off 25 balls with 4 fours and one six. Rahul Mussa and Arun Anand contributed brisk unbeaten 23 and 20 runs to the total respectively.
For Hustlers Cricket Club, Sunny Mattoo bagged 2 wickets, while Shrawan and Sarthak Peshin claimed one wicket each.
For his all-round display, Rahul Mussa was adjudged as the man of the match.
