KPs show concern over delay in issuance of ration coupons

JAMMU, Apr 20: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) president, M L Thusoo, its convener, P L Koul Budgami, president Magam Bangil Sabha, Raj Nath Raina, Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president Kundan Kashmiri and Durga Nagar Welfare Committee president, Roshan Lal Raina have shown their extreme concern over delay in issuance of ration coupons to displaced relief holders and alleged that unnecessary delay has led to the agony of these hapless people.
In their separate statements they have sought the intervention of higher ups in the Government saying that the condition of relief holders is totally apathetic due to the callous approach of the authorities.
They said that every year the Government was issuing the ration coupons to relief holders during the month of March but this year the same was delayed for unknown reasons with the result the relief holders are in total desperation as they are not getting the monthly ration. It said that the condition of these people have become further worst as many of them lost their jobs in private Sector after the spread of COVID Pandemic and they are only dependent on the ration and cash doles by Government.
Moreover they also showed concern for the decision of Relief Organisation asking the migrant relief holders who had taken refuge in different states of the country to report for seeking ration coupons to Relief organisation which is totally impracticable for them.
They said unnecessary delaying tactics adopted by the authorities is putting the relief holders to lot trouble and problems and in case the ration coupons were not issued immediately the KP organisations will be forced to take to streets.
