Katra, Oct 20: Kreeda Bharti Jammu and Kashmir felicitated veteran boxer and former Divisional Sports Officer of the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC), Rajan Sharma for accompanying the Indian women’s Boxing team as Manager in the World Championship held in Russia recently.
Besides Rajan, the organization meant for promotion of sports in the country, Kreeda Bharti also presented souvenir to general secretary of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA), Dr Ashutosh Sharma and Divisional Sports Officer of the JKSSC, Ravi Singh.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajan Sharma shared his experiences and informed the gathering of office bearers of different sports bodies, coaches and young boxers about the event of repute.
Earlier, Shiv Kumar Sharma spoke in length about Kreeda Bharti.
Secretary Kreeda Bharti J&K, Rajesh Chander Vaid asked the gathering about the proposed ‘Jijabai’ Sports Awards on November 10 at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Auditorium.
He asked the outstanding players to submit their details with the award committee of Kreeda Bharti and appealed the coaches and sports associations to help find achievers.

Prominent among those present were Dr Sanjogita Soodan, Vikas Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Sunil Mahajan, Satish Gupta, Ravinder Singh, Romesh Sharma, Anil Wadhera, Suraj Bhan Singh, Ajay Sharma, S P Singh and Vikas Magotra.
