JAMMU, Oct 15: Krishnanjali trounced Vishal CC by 39 runs in semi-final match of ongoing KCT-20 U/19 cricket tournament, played at KC Sports Stadium, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Krishananjali secured 244 runs on the board. Archit’s magnificent inning laced with 5 boundaries and 6 skyrocketing sixes helped Krishananjali to post 244 runs target before the opponent team. Marsh made 27 runs while Smarpit and Prabjot contributed 26 and 24 runs respectively.
Aryan from Vishal CC was the wrecker-in-chief who picked 4 wickets to dismantle Krishananjali top order. Nityam, Ishank, Musaif, Marutvan & Sharmak clinched 1 wicket each.
Chasing a mammoth 244 for victory, Vishal CC was bowled out for 205 runs with four overs spare. Archit and Sanoop took 3 wickets each for Krishnanjali.
Man of the Match was awarded to Archit Mahajan for his all round performance with ball and bat.
