JAMMU, June 24: Kuldeep Kumar Gupta Secretary Vansh Sabre Sports Foundation called on Commissioner/Secretary (GAD) Sanjeev Verma here today. Gupta discussed the burning issue of appointment orders of outstanding sports persons to be appointed under SO-12 which is pending before the Government.
He also submitted a Memorandum to the Commissioner/ Secretary and urged for swift action to ensure justice to the outstanding sports persons with no further delay. Gupta apprised the Commissioner/ Secretary GAD about the hardships being faced by the National and International Sports persons due to long pending issue of appointment in Gazetted as well as Non-Gazetted jobs in Government departments for the last few years.
Moreover few outstanding sportspersons have submitted their files under direct recruitment which are now overage due to this long process of appointments which needs to be considered for the relaxation of their age for the appointment in Gazetted as well as Non-Gazetted Jobs. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta also urged the Commissioner Secretary that the sportspersons be appointed with a total quota pending of the last Nine years of 5 Gazetted Officers and 25 Non-Gazetted Officers at the earliest.
The Commissioner Secretary GAD gave a patient hearing to the issue of appointment of outstanding sports persons in Gazetted as well as Non Gazetted Government jobs put forth by Kuldeep Kumar Gupta and assured prompt consideration of the memorandum’s recommendations.
