Kulgam ‘A’ wins Kabaddi C’ship

SRINAGAR, Mar 11: Kulgam ‘A’ defeated Shopian by 50 points in the police range-level Kabaddi tournament being played in Anantnag district here today.
Altogether, eight teams from the South Kashmir range participated in the tournament, and the final match was won by Kulgam “A” defeating Shopian by 50 points.
The four-day sports event that commenced on March 6 was held at the Government Degree College Anantnag under the Civic Action Programme, police said.
The tournament was organized to promote sporting culture among youth; host sports culture, and impart a sense of discipline and sportsmanship among youth.
The winners and the runner-up teams were given cash prizes, trophies, and mementos. Besides, prizes were also distributed among the man of the final match, the man of the series, and match officials.
The participating teams lauded the role of the police in organizing such events and urged them to conduct such events in the future as well.
