POONCH, Apr 28: In a step to promote road safety and sports among youth, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal distributed specially designed T-shirts and cricket balls to participants of the ongoing cricket tournament in Poonch. The items featured the road safety slogan, “Be a Road Safety Hero,” aiming to raise awareness and encourage young people to engage in sports as a positive alternative to drug abuse.
The initiative aligns with the administration’s vision to promote road safety and safeguard the community, particularly youth in Poonch. During the distribution, Vikas Kundal emphasized that sports are an essential tool for youth development, fostering not only physical health but also teamwork, discipline, and a sense of community.
This effort is part of a broader campaign to instill road safety principles and encourage a culture of health, positivity, and safety in the youth. The event successfully blended the message of road safety with youth engagement through sports.
