Kupwara KR, BNCC, Tridents Club script wins

JAMMU, Feb 13: Players displayed extraordinary batting and bowling skills and showed serenity, composure and promise as Kupwara Knight Riders, Bole Nath Cricket Club (BNCC) and Tridents Cricket Club registered resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-4 at KC Sports Club here.
In the first match, Kupwara Knight Riders defeated KRSNA XI by 48 runs in an easy contest. Batting first, Kupwara Knight Riders scored a good total of 169 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. In reply, KRSNA XI bundled out for 121 runs in 19.3 overs thus lost the match by 48 runs.
Charukesh Zutshi top scored with power-packed 41 runs off 29 balls studded with 6 fours and one six.
For Kupwara Knight Riders, Ankur Bagati was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 wickets by conceding 12 runs in his 4 overs, while Rajinder Jr and Sanidhya Kaul claimed 2 wickets each.
In another match played today, BNCC thrashed KCC Warriors by 100 runs. Batting first, BNCC scored 218/3 in 20 overs. In reply, KCC Warriors managed to score only 118 runs, thus lost the match by 100 runs. None of the KCC Warriors batters showed grit and application.
In yet another match of the day, Tridents Cricket Club got the better of KRSNA XI in a close contest by 15 runs. Batting first, Tridents Club scored 153 runs in 20 overs. Sushant Ganjoo played a brilliant innings of 61 runs off 39 balls, studded with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Anil Raina took 2 wickets for KRSNA XI.
In reply, KRSNA XI scored 138 runs, thus kost the match by 15 runs. Charukesh Zutshi top scored with 47 runs off 42 balls, studded with 8 boundaries. For Tridents Club, Amit Wali was the pick of the bowlers, who took 5 wickets by conceding 29 runs in his 4 overs. For their splendid show, Ankur Bagati, Anmol Bhan and Amit Wali were adjudged as the players’ of the matches.
