Kupwara Police organizes Volleyball tourney

KUPWARA, Mar 18: Kupwara Police organized the final match of the Kupwara Police Volleyball League (KPVL) 2025 and inaugurated a Women’s Cricket Tournament at DPL Kupwara. The Volleyball tournament, which began on February 25, featured eight teams from across the district. In an exciting final, Hyhama Volleyball Club defeated Kupwara Volleyball Club to clinch the title.
The closing ceremony was attended by SSP Kupwara Ghulam Jeelani Wani, DySP DAR Kupwara Gulzar Rashid and other senior police officers. The winners and runners-up were awarded trophies, mementoes, and cash prizes.
In addition to the Volleyball final, the Women’s Cricket Tournament was inaugurated to provide a platform for local female athletes. Kupwara Police emphasized their commitment to such initiatives to strengthen community ties and engage youth through sports for a better public outreach.
