AKHNOOR, May 8: Kendriya Vidyalay No-1 Akhnoor celebrated its Annual Day with great zeal and enthusiasm at Sangha auditorium, here.
The programme began with the lighting of lamps by the chief guest and other dignitaries, which was followed by chanting of Vedic mantras by the students.
A variety of cultural programme including welcome song, theme dance ‘save the girl child’, patriotic songs, folk dances of various regions were presented on the occasion. Principal of the Vidyalaya, S Karan presented the annual report, highlighting the academic and co-curricular achievements during the previous session.
Chairman VMC Deputy GOC 10 Inf Div Brig, Vivek Sharma (VSM) chief guest addressed the audience and applauded participants and teachers.
School chairman assured to extend every possible help for the growth and development of the School.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks and national anthem.
