KV-1 Gandhi Nagar, Vishwa Bharti School win Kabaddi titles

JAMMU, Oct 9: Outplaying their rivals in the summit clash, KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar and Vishwa Bharti School Akalpur, Jammu lifted the title trophies in the Junior Kabaddi Championship organized by Jammu District Kabaddi Association  in collaboration   with J&K State Sports  Council at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium here.
While KV No-1   Gandhi Nagar won the final match by 12 points against Govt College for Women, Parade, Jammu to win the title in girls section, Vishwa Bharti School defeated Stephan International School by 30 points in the boys section to win the title.
Anil Gupta, president J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Anil Gupta was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while V K Magoo, Chairman, J&K Housing Corporation Ltd presided over the function. S Jasbir Singh, Chairman Unique Public Hr. Sec. School and Balbir Singh, Chairman Jammu Marketing Cooperative Society Ltd were the guests of honour.
Anil Gupta distributed winner trophy alongwith medals and certificates among the boys and girls teams, while V K Magoo and Balbir Singh distributed trophy and medals among runners-up teams. Certificates and cash prize of Rs 5100 each was awarded to the winners in boys and girls sections, while certificates and Rs. 3100 each was presented to the runners-up teams.
Inderjeet Sharma, president Jammu District Kabaddi Association and S Jasbir Singh, chairman Unique Public Hr Secondary School distributed prizes for third ranks. They also distributed prizes to Best Raiders and Best Catchers including Ayushi Ujjval, Juhi Charak, Lucky Sharma and Haresh Kumar.
