UDHAMPUR, May 1: Kendriya Vidyalaya No-1 Udhampur celebrated Annual Day with pomp and show, here.
Maj Gen KJS Gill (SM) GOC, HQ 71 Sub Area cum Chairman VMC was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme began with the presentation of bouquet to the dignitaries by the student representatives which was followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp and chanting of Vedic Mantra.
A melodious welcome song was followed by welcome speech and presentation of Annual Report by Principal, Dr R Prasad.
The chief guest distributed the prizes and certificates among budding talents of primary and secondary wing alongwith the teachers on the occasion.
Students presented a beautiful cultural programme which beagn with Saraswati Vandana.
A Newsletter under CMP EQIUP and Health Programme was released on the occasion.
Vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal Basanti Khempa, while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by SANJAY Kumar, PGT Hindi and Jyotsna Sirohi, TGT English along with student anchors Soumya Purohit, Akriti and Ujjwal.
