JAMMU, Oct 18: Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Udhampur celebrated Grand Parents’ Day in it school premises.
Col N Gojendra Singh was the chief guest on the occasion while principal of the Vidyalaya , Dr R Prasad, and Headmistress, Usha Kaul, along with other staff members were also present.
A cultural programme was presented by the students on the occasion. Besides, various games were organized in which grandparents were actively involved. Winning grandparents were also awarded with prizes.
The chief guest in his address motivated the children to respect their elders. He also appreciated the whole team of the Vidalaya for organizing such a programme.
Earlier, Dr Prasad in his welcome address insisted upon the moral values. He said such programmes inculcate respect in the heart of students for their grandparents.
