AKHNOOR, May 9: KV 2 Akhnoor celebrated its Annual Day as well as Golden Jubilee of KVS 2013, here today.
Brig A K Shukla VSM Deputy GOC 10 Inf Div and Chairman VMC was the chief guest on the occasion, while Principal of the Vidyalaya A K Rai presented welcome address and gave annual report expounded the achievements of the Vidyalaya in academics as well in co-curricular activities.
The Prize Distribution ceremony was followed by cultural programme which began with Swastik Vachan and Saraswati Vandana. Welcome song by the tiny tots stole hearts of the audience, while variety of dances reflected different cultures like Dogri, Rajasthani, Gujarati, Punjabi etc were performed by the students with great vigor and zeal. Bangra Dance show was also presented by the students.
Meanwhile, K.V.Bantalab celebrates its Annual Day in a grand function, here today. The event encouraged, gave rewards and an opportunity to the students to showcase their talent.
The event opened with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest and guest of honour followed by the SaraswatiVandana performed by the students.
Principal V Santhosh Kumar passionately presented the welcome address and read out the school’s annual report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during 2012-13 academic year in scholastic and co-scholastic areas and reiterated the importance of parental engagement in partnership with the school.
The cultural bonanza with a participation of large number of students of the school enthralled the parents and left the audience spellbound at the students’ caliber and poise. Chief Guest of the evening alongwith guest of honourpresented recognition certificates to young achievers.
K S Bandari, (IGP, CRPF-J&K Zone) B L Morodia (AC,KVS (JR) Jammu) and Meenakshi Talwar were present on the occasion.
