JAMMU, Dec 22: Grandparents Day was celebrated today with pomp and show at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Damana, here today .
The chief guest of the function was Charan Dass, Sarpanch Dhateryial and V.Shantosh Kumar, Principal K V Bantalab, Jammu.
Students of Primary wing presented various cultural items and conveyed the importance of the day through a skit and other colourful programmes.
On this occasion, Grandparents took part in various apple game like musical chair, bread eating competition.
The winners were given away the prizes on the occasion.
C R Bhagat, Principal KV Damana reminded the gathering especially the children about the importance of values and respect towards their elders, as blessings of elders show the right path to the coming generation.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Suresh Parihar, which was followed by National Anthem.
