KATHUA, May 9: Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur celebrated the Annual Day with zeal and zest at Army Auditorium, Lakhanpur, here today.
Brig Bimal Monga, Commander 401, Artillery Brigade, Chairman VMC was chief guest on the occasion, while Shukla Monga and HP Monga were the guests of honour.
Earlier, D R Patel, Principal of KV Lakhanpur welcomed the dignitaries by presenting bouquets. The function began by lighting of the ceremonial lamp in front of Sarswati Pratima.
The students welcomed the guests and parents by presenting Saraswati Vandana and welcome song. The Principal highlighted the achievements of the school during the session. The students presented cultural items comprising of action song by primary children, Rajasthani Dance, Dogri Folk Dance, Hindi Skit on theme ‘Daily Life Corruption’. Punjabi folk dance’ Bhangra and Giddah’ attracted the audience. The chief Guest gave away the prizes to students on their excellent performance in CCA and Academics. The chief guest focused on the responsibilities of teachers and parents in the all-round development of students.
Senior Anil Bharti thanked the guests, parents and participants.
The programme came to an end with National Anthem.
