JAMMU, Dec 2: Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur celebrated its Annual Sports Day with pomp and show, here today.
Col DK Tiwary, Deputy Commander 401(I) Artillery Brigade and Chairman Nominee, VMC, KV Lakhanpur was the chief guest.
Principal DR Patel welcomed the chief guest.
Welcome song, skit on Water Conservation and Dogri dance were presented by the students of KV Lakhanpur.
Races of Primary students like Lemon race, frog race, three leg race etc were organized nicely.
Medals and prizes were distributed by the chief guest to the participants and winners.
Anil Bharti, Senior Most Teacher of the Vidyalaya presented vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, KV Sunjuwan celebrated its Annual Day with great splendour.
Brigadier Ramit Mehta, chairman VMC was the guest of honour on this occasion.
Programme started with the welcome of guests by Scout and Guide color party. Students were so excited that all the important presentations were undertaken by them under the supervision of teachers and mentors. After welcome song by tiny-tots Captain and Vice-Captain presented the badges and bouquets to the dignitaries. After invocation of Goddess Saraswati, it was the Vandana of Maa Saraswati that mesmerized the audience. Annual report highlighting the achievements of the school in terms of curricular, co-curricular, and infrastructural-cum-technological progress was presented by the School Captain, Master Sanket Kaul.
Various dance presentations gave a feel of mini-India to the audience. Much sought after moment was the prize distribution event in which chief guest, Brig. Ramit Mehta gave away the prizes to the shining stars. Bhangra and Gidda combo made the whole audience vibrate with gyration.
