JAMMU, May 11: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Nagrota celebrated its 37th Annual Day.
Brigadier Ravinder Gurung, BGS (Info Sys) HQ 16 Corps, Chairman, VNIC, KV Nagrota was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. The students recited Sanskrit Shloakas during the ceremony.
Saraswati Vandana was presented by the students of the Vidyalaya.
RK Shukla, Principal of the Vidyalaya presented annual report of the Vidyalaya highlighting the achievements in the field of academics and co-curricular activities at various levels.
A cultural programme comprising of welcome dance, umbrella dance, NCC dance, fusion dance, Dogri dance, English skit, western dance, mime, Lavni, Hindi skit and Bhangra were presented by the students.
Brig Ravinder Gurung distributed the prizes among meritorious students in CCA and academics.
Selected PGT’s, TGT’s, PRT’s including the Principal were also honoured for their excellent results and overall contribution for KV Nagrota for 2014-15.
While speaking, Brig Gurung showered his kind blessings on students.
Col Arun Kulkarni, Nominee Chairman, Major Divya Singh and many educationists glorified the occasion with their gracious presence.
RK Shukla, Principal and galaxy of teachers were honoured on the occasion for their achievements at various levels during the previous session.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr JS Malhotra, PGT (Commerce). The programme was co-ordinated by RV Ram, PGT-Hindi and members of the CCA Department.
