JAMMU, Apr 12: Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota, Jammu celebrated Annual Day with pomp and show here today.
AS Berar, VSM BGS (Info Sys) HQ 16 Corps Chairman Nagrota was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme started with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.
The students recited Sanskrit shalokas followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The chief guest was formally welcomed by Anuj Kumar, Principal of the Vidyalya. He presented annual report of the Vidyalya highlighting the achievements in the fields of Academics and co-curricular activities at various levels.
In his report, he said, such events give ample opportunity to the children to participate in Cultural items and express themselves to enhance their persona.
A cultural program comprising of Welcome Dance, Dogri Dance, Rajasthani Dance, Kashmiri
Dance, English Skit, Mime and Bhangra was presented by the students.
The chief guest and other dignitaries gave away prizes to the meritorious students in different types of activities as well achievers of CBSE Exam 2017 on the occasion.
He motivated the students to stay focused and achieve greater heights.
Bimla Pandita (Vice Principal) and a galaxy of teachers were honoured on this occasion for their achievements at various levels during the previous session 2017-18.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Bimla Pandit, Vice Principal.
The programme was co-ordinated by Shyamla Khajuria TGT Science and Mandeep Kour, Music Teacher.
