Akhnoor, Nov 23: KV No.1 Akhnoor celebrated its Annual Sports Day cum Prize Distribution Function with great zeal and fervour, here.
The programe began with the lighting of traditional lamp. A brief cultural programme was also organized. Participants of all the four houses including troops of NCC gave salute to the Principal of the Vidyalaya.
Various sports events namely Long Jump, Shot Put, Kho-Kho, Throw Ball and Spoon Race were conducted during the day.
There was the neck to neck competition among the budding sportspersons. Principal of the Vidyalya, Surjeet Singh distributed the prizes among the winners. In his formal address to the students he laid stress on the importance of games and sports in the life of student.
