JAMMU, Apr 26: KVS 49th Regional Sports Meet in various sports disciplines concluded at different venues across Jammu division.
The Tournament in the disciplines of Handball, Kho-Kho, Boxing and Skating Boys successfully concluded at KV Nagrota, here from 24-04-2018 to 26-04-2018.
In Handball, KV Nagrota won the gold medal in under 19 where as the team of KV No-1 Udhampur and KV No-2 bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
In Kho-Kho KV No-1 Akhnoor and KV Miran Sahib won gold medal U-19 and U-14 boys respectively, while team of KV Lakhanpur and KV Baramullah bagged silver and KV Sunjuwan bagged bronze medal U-19 and U-14 boys respectively.
The programme was organized under overall supervision of Dr. JS Malhotra, Officiating Principal, KV Nagrota and venue director.
Closing Ceremony of 49th Regional Sports Meet was held at KV No-1 Udhampur, today.
The Tournament was held in U-14 and U-19 Basketball, Kabaddi, Yoga and Volleyball.
In U-14 Kabaddi, KV Lakhanpur, KV No-1 Jammu and KV No-1 Udhampur won the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, whereas in U-19 Kabaddi, KV No-1 Udhampur, KV Miransahib and KV Bhaderwah won the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
During the Closing ceremony, a Volleyball match was organised for all the escorts in which team A won gold and team B won silver medal.

The 3-day 49th KVS Regional Sports Meet U-14,U-17 and U-19 (Girls) concluded at KV Bantalab, today.
135 players drawn from 13 different Kendriya Vidyalayas of Jammu Region participated in different events with great enthusiasm and exhilaration.
V. Santhosh Kumar, Principal of the host school, was the chief guest and presided over the valedictory function and honoured the winners with certificates and medals.
The vote of thanks was presented by Romi Amrit, Vice Principal of the institution.
The 49th Regional Sports Meet of KV Lakhanpur concluded today.
The Meet was held for three days in kabbadi (Girls) U-14, U-19, and Kho-Kho (Girls) U-14 and U-19.
About 255 participants and 30 escorts from 17 Vidyalaya schools of the region participated in the meet.
In the Kabaddi event U-14, KV Chenani topped, KV Bantalab stood second and KV Nagrota claimed third spot, while in Kabaddi U-19, KV Jammu stood first, KV No-1 Udhampur bagged second spot and KV Kishtwar claimed stood third position.
In Kho-Kho U-14, KV Sunjwan won first place, KV No-1 Udhampur bagged second position and KV Lakhanpur stood third, while in Kho-Kho U-19, KV Akhnoor stood first, KV Lakhanpur won second position and KV Chenani claimed third spot.
Col Ashish Borgaonkar was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who gave away the medals to the winners of the competitions, while D R Patel, Principal was also present on the occasion.
