JAMMU, Dec 13: Kendriya Vidyalaya Udhampur celebrated KVS Foundation Day with zeal and zest under the able guidance of Dr R Prasad, here today.
The programme comprised of dance and sports competitions between staff and the students. Earlier, the ceremonial lamp was lit by Principal, Dr R.Prasad, Headmistress Primary section, Usha Koul and CCA Associate, Neeta Moten, PGT (English).
After the speech of Head Girl, Mehak Biala, the function commenced with Vande Matram Dance of Primary Section. Dance on the song ‘Aisa Desh Hai Mera’ won the hearts of audience.
House-wise Group Competition was organized from Secondary Section.
Students performed dance on KVS Golden Jubilee action song written by Dr R Prasad, host Principal.
On this auspicious occasion, CMP News Letter, Equip News Letter and Class Magazines were released.
Mr Prasad after delivering speech distributed prizes among the winners.
The matches were held in cricket, table-tennis, badminton and football.
The programme was coordinated by Sanjay Purohit and Meenakshi Sharma in-charges CCA.
