JAMMU, Dec 20: Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Foundation Day at Regional Level was organised here today in the auditorium of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Gandhi Nagar. The gala event hosted by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region was organised by PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya (GC) CRPF, Bantalab. The event was graced by Nagendra Goyal, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region as the Chief Guest.
Islam Khan, Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region; Anil Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region; Hari Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region; Lalit Sharma, Administrative Officer, Kendriya Vidyalaya  Sangathan, Jammu Region; Gajendra Singh, Finance Officer, Kendriya  Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu  Region, various heads of autonomous bodies were among the other dignitaries present on the occasion. Principals and teachers of various Kendriya Vidyalayas of the Jammu Region, KV alumni, other special guests and members of the press fraternity were also present during the event.
There was a spectrum of cultural programmes presented by the students of various Kendriya Vidyalayas of Jammu Region. KV alumni, Anil Goswami, Ex-Union Home Secretary of India and Dr Bias Dev (Ortho and Spine Surgeon, GMC Jammu shared their speeches and school time memories.
The chief guest, Nagendra Goyal, Deputy Commissioner, KVS RO Jammu said that Kendriya Vidyalayas present  the real picture of India in true sense because in these schools, students from different backgrounds rural, urban, rich, poor everyone takes education and the opportunities  provided for the all round development of the students here make them different  from other schools.
