KVS organizes Basic Training Course for Scouts, Guides

JAMMU, May 22: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) organized Basic Training Courses for Scout Masters, Guide Captains and Cub Masters at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 and 2 Pathankot and No1, Amritsar for teachers of KVS Jammu Region.
54 Scout Masters, 37 Guide Captains and 46 Cub Masters hailing from Kendriya Vidyalayas of J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh participated in these courses.
Grand Camp Fire was organized at KV No 1 and 2, Pathankot and KV No 1, Amritsar.
AS Gill, Assistant Commissioner KVS Jammu Region was chief guest at KV No 2, Pathankot.
The trainees welcomed the chief guest and presented various cultural items. The skills of Scouts and Guides were also displayed on this occasion.
In his address, AS Gill said that scouting and guiding activities promote the sense of patriotism, social service and devotion towards the development of the needy.

Similar function of Grand Camp Fire was also conducted at KV No 2, Pathankot wherein Air Cmde A Shiragannavar, Chairman, Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) of the Vidyalaya was the chief guest. Earlier, Principal JD Guru presented welcome address.
