JAMMU, Feb 9: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu Region, Jammu organized KVS Regional Incentive Awards Ceremony-2015 in the Auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who was received by presenting flower bouquet by AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest .The students presented recital of Sanskrit Shlokas, welcome song and cultural items during this ceremony. The chief guest was formally welcomed by the AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, KVS (JR).
In his address, AVLJ Rao apprised the chief guest about the contribution and achievements of KVS Jammu Region in the development of education in the Region. He said that KVS is a world class and premier organization catering services in the field of education in the country and abroad.
While speaking on this occasion Prof. Ashok Aima said that teachers as well miscellaneous staff are contributing a lot in the field of education to raise the KVS to a world class organization with a holistic approach towards catering quality education in the country and abroad. He said that Kendriya Vidyalayas are an icon in the education system in the country.
Sixteen teachers and miscellaneous staff members were honoured with KVS Regional Incentive Awards on this occasion for their meritorious services for the cause of education in KVS Jammu Region. The staff members who were awarded with KVS Regional Incentive award included PL Dhiman, Principal, Romi Amrit, Vice Principal, Mohan Lal, Head Master, Neelam Gularia, PGT (Chemistry), Sudesh Kumari, PGT (History), Shashi Kala, TGT (SST) , Rajinder Badkulia, TGT (SKT), Santosh Kumari, TGT (English), Pawan Kumar Sharma, TGT (WE), Subash Chander Sharma, PRT (Music), Ashok Kumar Sawhney, PRT, Udesh Saini, PRT, Anju Jamwal, PRT, Rajesh Kumar, UDC, Vinay Kumar Raina and PRT (Music), Jagdish Lal, Sub Staff.
Seven other teachers who have received National, KVS National and KVS National Innovation & Experimentation Awards during the session 2015 were also felicitated and they included Inder Paul, PRT, Sukhwinder Bali, TGT (S.St), Lakhbir Singh, TGT (Maths), Navjeet Kaur, PRT, Kuldeep Bhat, Assistant, Subhash Chander, Lab Attendant, Kewal Krishan and Sub Staff.
Two teachers namely Rajinder Badkulia, TGT (SKT), KV Kathua and Nimi Kaul, PRT, KV Nagrota were also awarded with KVS Divisional Award of BS & G-2015 for their contribution in the field of Scouting & Guiding.
A vote of thanks was extended by A.S Gill, Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region.
