JAMMU, July 24: The two-day long KVS Regional Sports Meet 2024-25 commenced here today in PM SHRI KV No 1 Jammu. The sports meet is held in disciplines of Swimming, Chess, Kabaddi and Skating in the U-14, U-17 and U-19 girls’ category.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the school Auditorium to mark the beginning of the sports meet. The chief guest on this occasion was Islam Khan, Assistant Commissioner KVS (R.O) Jammu Region.
Principal, Amit Walter presented an eco-friendly green welcome to the chief guest Islam Khan who motivated the participants from different Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS). After his inspiring address to the children, the sports meet was declared open and all the participants along with their escorts proceeded for their events.
In this grand event, about 41 participants along with 18 escorts from 12 Kendriya Vidyalayas- KV AFS Awantipura, PM SHRI KV CRPF Bantalab, PM SHRI KV Kathua, PM SHRI KV Lakhanpur, PM SHRI KV1 Jammu, PM SHRI KV2 Jammu, KV Sunjwan, KV Bhaderwah, KV Hiranagar, KV Jyotipuram, PM SHRI KV Miran Sahib and KV Samba are participating.
