KZF chief’s associate arrested

JAMMU, May 27: An associate of ‘Khalistan Zindabad Force’ (KZF) chief Ranjit Singh Neeta, who was presently operating from Pakistan after deserting Jammu, was today arrested from Satwari area.
A police spokesman said that on the basis of specific inputs, a police party from Satwari police station led by PSI Sandeep Charak under the supervision of Probationer DySP Shabir Khan arrested one of the KZF associate, who has been identified as Angad Singh alias Raju alias Auto, son of Amulak Singh of Akali Kour Singh Nagar, Digiana.
Angad had thrown a grenade in the year 1994 near Digiana Gurudwara, which was defused by the bomb disposal squad, he said, adding that since then the accused was absconding.
He added that Angad Singh was wanted in a case registered at Satwari police station under FIR number 42/1994 under Sections 3/4 TADA, 307, 148 and 149 RPC. He said that a warrant under Section 512 CrPC had also been issued against him by the Court.
