LEH, Jan 30: The Ladakh Regional Ice Hockey Championship 2025, held under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps, concluded, today at the Gupuk Ice Rink in Leh. The event, which ran from January 28 to 30, saw the participation of seven teams from various regions of Ladakh, competing fiercely for top honours.
The final match was attended by distinguished guests including Major General DK Singh, Chief of Staff, Fire and Fury Corps; Tsering Angchuk, Deputy Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC; and Nawang Gyapo, President of the Sports Association Ladakh. Major General Singh felicitated the winning teams, the best player, and the best goalkeeper during the closing ceremony.
Fire and Fury Corps has been actively promoting Ice Hockey in Ladakh through various initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana. These include constructing ice hockey rinks, providing hockey kits, and hosting tournaments to foster sportsmanship, health and winter tourism in the region.
