Ladakh Scouts Golden Jubilee Polo, Archery competitions conclude

LEH, May 23: The Ladakh Scouts team won the Ladakh Scouts Golden Jubilee Polo Competition at the final match played at the Polo Ground, here this morning. The Tournament was organized as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre.
The Ladakh Scouts team won the final match by defeating the Ladakh Polo Club team by 3-2 goals, in a keenly played match. In all, six teams participated in this competition which had commenced on 18th of this month.
N. N. Vohra, Governor, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the final match of the Polo competition, witnessed it and gave away prizes to the winning and the runner-up teams, as well as individual prizes to the players of both the teams.
The Governor also distributed prizes among the best adjudged participants of the finals of the Archery competition which was played today. This competition was also organized as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre.

Namgyal, former Union Minister, Councillors; Lt Gen Rajan Bakshi, Corps Commander, 14 Corps; Navin K Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Governor; Tsering Morup, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh; Vivek Gupta, SSP Leh; and other Civil, Police and Security Forces officers, prominent citizens and a large number of people witnessed the Polo match and Archery competition.
