Ladakh shines in Bronze at Kashmir Mega Martial Arts C’ship

LEH, Aug 12: Twenty two Players out of 25 players from Kargil won medals at the Open Kashmir Mega Event Martial Arts Championship which was held at Srinagar.
Mohammad Hassan general decretary Kargil Penchak Silat Association while talking to media said that the players both Boys and Girls performed well in the event and won 9 Gold, 5 Silver and 8 Bronze medals which is the highest medal of Ladakh UT in Penchak Silat Championship.
Earlier the team was flagged off by vice president Ladakh Sqay Association Mudassir Wazir International player and referee and Sher-e-Kashmir Awardee Zaheer Abass Khana and general secretary District Kargil Olympic Association Syed Mehraj Ud Din Shah.
Mohammad Hassan said taking into consideration the benefit of the players a joint tournament was organised at Srinagar so that the players may not suffer and in future Ladakh Penchak Silat Association will organize its own events.
President District Kargil Olympic Association Haji Mirza Hussain congratulated the team and its coach Mohammad Hassan for such a great result and hoped that the players will perform well at all levels and make Ladakh proud.
Meanwhile, mentor and supporter of Kargil Penchak Silat Association Ghulam Mehdi Sheikh Councilor LAHDC Kargil for Baroo Minjee Constituency congratulated the team particularly the coach Mohammad Hassan and assured all possible help in future.
