LEH, May 7: Ladakh Taekwondo Association today unveiled the team jersey, sponsored by British Paints and KTC and felicitated the players at Conference Hall TFC Kargil, here today.
Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Town Constituency and Proprietor Kargil Trading Corporation Haji Mohd Abass Adulpa were the chief guests, while Sukhbir Singh Depot Manager Srinagar for British Paints was the guest of honour. DySP DAR Stanzin Dorjey and president District Kargil Olympic Association Haji Mirza Hussain were also present as special guests.

President Ladakh Taekwondo Association said that it’s for the first time in the history of sports in Ladakh that the whole team was sponsored by India’s leading paint company British Paints in collaboration with its Ladakh Dealer Kargil Trading Corporation and thanked them for sponsorship the team who recently participated in the National Championships at University of Kota Rajasthan.
Gulzar Hussain Munshi said that such sponsorship has reduced the burden on the players and helps them to motivate themselves to give their best. He said that the motive of organizing the event was to encourage more members from the Corporate Sector to come forward in the making of future stars. He further added that the team of 24 players and coach has won one Gold, One Silver and One Bronze in the National Championship.
The chief guest Haji Mohd Abass also thanked British Paints for the sponsorship to team Ladakh for participating in the National Championship.
Sukhbir Singh of British Paint assured that the company will always remain at the forefront to invest in the future of India and sports are such a medium that if we invest we are saving a generation from going in wrong directions.
