JAMMU, Jan 16: Ace Sports Administrator and Member of J&K Sports Council Ranjeet Kalra has been appointed as Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs to the University of Ladakh.
In a letter issued by Dean Academics on behalf of University of Ladakh mentioned. “Your remarkable accomplishments and extensive experience make you an exemplary individual to guide and inspire our students and faculty. We would be honoured to have you as Advisor for promotion of Sports and Youth Affairs in the University of Ladakh. Your mentorship shall play a pivotal role in promoting sports ecosystem in the university” a communication issued by University of Ladakh read.
Kalra who serves as a teaching faculty with University of Jammu had earlier also guided the newly established Central University of Jammu as Co-Chairman of its Sports Council and Punjab University at Bathinda as Advisor in planning their sports infrastructure projects and setting up their sports calendar and allied activities. Kalra, a former cricketer, has previously also served with BCCI and the Sports Authority of India in different capacities.
