JAMMU, Sept 2: A lady allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab from iron bridge near Akhnoor.
As per police sources, a lady identified as Surinder Kour, wife of Balwant Singh, a resident of Digiana Jammu allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab from iron bridge near Akhnoor.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to fish out the body from the river. The body was not fished out till last reports were compiled.
Kanachack Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
