KATHUA, June 4: One lady died of an electric shock and three were injured in village Bagian in Bani tehsil of Kathua district today.
The electric shock was outcome of a fault in the local transformer. The deceased lady was identified as Reva Devi, W/o Darshan Kumar, R/o Bagian Teh. Bani. She has three children.
Injured persons were identified as Bhuri Singh S/o Joda, Nitu Devi W/o Karm Chand ,Pooja Devi W/o Rohan Lal R/O Bagian Teh. Bani.
People of Teh.Bani protested against PDD authorities and said it is second incident within 15 days and 5th incident in last one year due to the negligence of PDD employees.
The family members of Reva Devi filed the report in Police Station Bani. When conducted SHO Bani, Suresh Goutam stated that he has received the information of incident and has deputed a police party for investigation. The local JE of the area M N Sheikh stated that employees have been deputed in the area for verification.
