JAMMU, June 9: Member of Parliament Jammu – Poonch constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma was honoured by a delegation comprising of prominent and political leaders associated with the social organization “Laghu Udyog Bharti”, Jammu & Kashmir here ,today.
They submitted a memorandum highlighting genuine demands & issues related to industry. The delegation comprised of BJP State secretary, Ajay Pargal, BJYM State vice president Advocate Ishant Gupta, Laghu Udyog Bharti, president, Rajinder Gupta its general secretary, Parveen Gupta, Sudesh Gupta, Rajesh Jain, and Tarsem Gupta.
The memorandum highlighted the prevailing industrial scenario in the State particularly in Jammu region and apprised him that the industrial sector in the region is presently passing through a very bad period. They alleged that they are facing the utter neglect and anti-industrial attitude from the authorities which is proving detrimental for the healthy growth of the industry in the region. They said that most of incentives provided by Central and State Governments stand withdrawn and slowly and gradually industries will die their own death as no new investment from within the State and outside is arriving which is also contributing to unemployment.
They further added that biased approach of Industry Department towards sick and closed units to cancel and retrieve their industries is anti-development in the region. Instead of lending a helping hand, the department is hell bent to destroy the industry. The delegates sought his intervention to save the industries from dying. It said the need of the hour is that certain measures be taken to save existing industry and promote new industrial investments.
Jugal informed the delegation that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is himself putting his best efforts and working for the growth of industrial sector in the country for which he already launched various schemes like “Make in India”, “Mudra Yojana”, “MSME Schemes”, “59 minutes loan” and many more. He assured them that all the necessary steps will be taken to ensure the smooth run of industries in the State. He also said that he will personally take up the matter at highest level at the Centre, so as to facilitate opening up of new avenues for the growth of industrial set up in the State. He also assured that he will arrange a meeting with Union Minister for Finance and Union Minister for Industry & Commerce so as to apprise them about the demands and the present scenario in the whole of the State particularly in Jammu region for the prompt and early redressal of the demands of industrialists.
