JAMMU, May 20: Lakshmi Cricket Club (U-16) registered win over MIER Cricket Club by a huge margin of 46 runs and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Elected to bat first after winning the toss, Lakshmi CC made 175 runs by losing 8 wickets in stipulated 25 overs. Dhrub Parmar scored 47 runs off 33 balls with the help of 7 boundaries, while Vinayak chipped in 44 runs in 43 balls and Rahil made 24 runs in 13 balls.
For MIER CC side, Jasbeer scalped 2 wickets, while Tabish, Puniya and Nirbhay took one wicket each.
In reply, MIER CC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 129 runs by losing 7 wickets in allotted 25 overs. Youraj made 31 runs off 53 balls, while Gourav and Nikhil scored 10 and 18 runs respectively.
For Lakshmi CC, Dhruv Parmar scalped 3 wickets, while Manav and Jugjap took one wicket apiece.
Dhruv Parmar of Lakshmi CC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Ravi Manchanda as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman maintained the scorecard.
