KISHTWAR, July 25: Two persons were today killed after their JCB machine came under heavy landslide in Simbol Kushal area falling under Chatroo Police Station here.
As per reports, the ill fated JCB was working for road construction in Simbol Kushal area this afternoon when the landslide hit it.
After the incident, the locals immediately joined cops and launched a rescue operation and retrieved both the trapped persons but by then one of them Abid Hussain, son of Noor Husain, resident of Kuchal had succumbed to his injuries and the other Musharraf, son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Kuchal was rushed to District Hospital Kishtwar with grievous injuries where doctors attending him declared him dead.
After postmortem and legal formalities both the dead bodies were handed over to the family members for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
