SRINAGAR, May 3: Member Parliament, Nazir Ahmad Laway was elected president of Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Bal Cricket Association in the General Body elections held at Bakshi Stadium, here.
The elections were held under the supervision of the observers from J&K State Sports Council namely Bashir Ahmad Shah and Rouf Ahmad Tramboo.
Er Sabiya Qadri and RK Pardesi were elected vice presidents of the Association, while Fayaz Ahmad Wani was elected as general secretary.
Mukhtar Ahmad Darsaroo was elected treasurer of the Association, while Yasir Nazir Salroo as joint secretary.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lawy said that the Association, which has a good record at the National scene, will organize a galaxy of tournaments in 2016, starting with the forthcoming National Level event in the month of July-2016.
