Lawrence school student wins Silver in Nat’l C’ship

JAMMU, Aug 22: Divam Kumar, a student of Lawrence Public School, secured a silver medal in the under-13, 40 kg weight category at the All India Karate Championship 2024, held at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium in Panchkula. The three-day event, organized by the Haryana Sports Karate Association, saw participation from around 1000 athletes representing 25 States across India. Chief Advisor of the Conservative Party of Canada, Gulab Sahni, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Senior national officials from the Karate Association of India, including Likha Tara, Dosa Moonga, Baikunth Singh, Jadev Sharma, Sai Bruch, Amit Gupta, and Kejrar Avinash, were also in attendance. Shivani Joshi, Principal of Lawrence Public School, appreciated Divam Kumar and presented him with a merit certificate, praising his dedication and the guidance of his coach, Surjeet Dogra. She extended her best wishes for their future endeavours.
