JAMMU, June 27: Laxmi Cricket Club (LCC) and Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by KC Sports Club under the overall supervision of its Managing Director (MD), Arjun Chowdhary at KC School ground, here.
The Tournament is being played on newly laid turf at the ground.
In the first match played today, Laxmi Cricket Club (LCC) defeated International Cricket Club (ICC) by a narrow margin of 6 runs.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Laxmi Cricket Club scored a fighting total of 143 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
From LCC, Dhruv Mahajan was the top scorer with 46 runs, while Yogesh and Kulvinder contributed 23 and 18 runs to the total respectively. From ICC, Hitesh Dubey and Asif took 3 wickets each, while Ajay claimed 2 wickets.
While chasing the target, International Cricket Club managed to score 137 runs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 6 runs. Aakash top scored with 42 runs, while Arun and Nitin contributed 26 and 13 runs to the total respectively. From LCC, Bharat, Yogesh and Sameer claimed 1 wicket each.
In another match played today, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor defeated Provin Cricket Club  by 5 wickets in an easy contest.
PCC won the toss and decided to bat first. PCC scored a modest total of 105 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Kapil, Romil and Rajesh contributed 21, 19 and 16 runs respectively. From Singh Cricket Club, Sunil was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Sham Singh Langeh claimed 2 wickets.
While chasing the target, Singh Club scored 109 runs in 17.5 runs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Sonu Manhas top scored with 48 runs, while Govil and Dilawar contributed 22and 13 runs respectively. From Provin Cricket Club, Akshay took 2 wickets.
